This is like the top-reviewed SF place on Winnie and I finally understand why! There are always families here, it's very chill, lots of great books to look at or buy, and they have a big (enclosed!) outdoor area where squirmy kids can run around. Fair bit of parking nearby too, but beware the meters are expensive.

This place (Crossroads Cafe) is a good low key destination that usually lacks a crowd (particularly in the afternoon). They have kids books, outdoor spaces, and snacks that kids like too (grilled cheese etc).

Haven’t been here in awhile but this has to be my #1 kid friendly cafe spot in SF. Lots of space, affordable menu, a bookstore inside. Can’t go wrong because it’s not like you have to be quiet with kids in there, it’s acceptable to be noisy if you have a baby, unlike most places. Lol.

Lots of outdoor spaces

Chill spot for brunch or lunch. The outdoor area with grass is nice because I can let my toddler loose for a bit. Also pairs well with a walk along the Embarcadero.

Love the back patio! Perfect for soaking up some sun, catching up with friends, and totally safe for the little ones to run around. Bonus: great staff and affordable prices!

Greattt for kids!

Love this place! Great outdoor, enclosed area for kids to run and play. Right across from the bay - great view of the water. Relaxed atmosphere with awesome breakfast / lunch options.
