Zoo in San Francisco

1 Zoo Rd

Offers thousands of animals (endangered and rescued). They also have a children's zoo where young ones can feed and pet farm animals. There's even a playground inside that's free with museum admission. Admission is $19 for adults, $13 for children (ages 4-14), and free for children 3 and under. SF residents get a few dollar discount on admission with proof of residency.

Everyone knows this place is kid friendly, but I wanted to share some cutie pics of my oldest and a classmate of his. Young friendship is the best.

These photo walls at the zoo are still one of my favorite things ever ❤️

If your kid is a fan of trains like mine is you've gotta ride the Little Puffer Steam Train. Tix are a bit pricey at $6 a person but kids under 3 ride free. Pic of us on the train. My daughter is still talking about it.

We just love going to the Zoo. It's such a fun place with something for all ages. My infant enjoyed snoozing in his stroller, as my toddler ran around having a blast...only stopping to have a hot dog.

Well we finally did it. We splurged on a zoo family membership for $130. If we go to the zoo 3 more times in the next year then the membership pays for itself. And another huge plus is you don't have to wait in the long line each time to get in. We are excited to be zoo regulars!!

Moms get in free for Mother's Day today!

I love that there's so much to do at the zoo! My son loves the train, the carousel, and the playground. I'm a resident of Daly City, not SF, but a membership is worth it as it's just a 10 minute drive up Skyline for me.

The zoo is pretty quiet this morning!! Maybe because it's overcast (I think it's perfect weather though). Come on by :-)

The SF Zoo was a hit yesterday! Free admission every first Wednesdays for SF residents. There's also a playground inside. Pictured is an anteater. :)

Fun day at the zoo today! It was free day for SF residents and sunny but surprisingly not too crowded!

A great membership to have! On a foggy or sunny day, the zoo can keep you and your lo busy for a couple of hours. It's great exercise, lots of animals to see, carousel and train rides, and a huge playground! There are animal feedings daily so make sure to check the schedule online, that can be a lot of fun to watch, especially the sea lions and penguins!

Being a resident of the Sunset, the Zoo was the first membership we bought when our son was born. Money well spent because before he was walking, I would take him there and get exercise myself. He wound sit in the stroller and point at all the animals or take a much needed nap. Once he was walking, we would spend time in the Zoo's awesome playground, take rides on the carousel ($3/ride &... Annual passes are a must for us!

The playground at the zoo is the best.

Got there at 10am right went it opened to maximize our time before my daughter's nap at noon. She loved the giraffes, zebras and gorillas. Her favorite part of the zoo though was the playground 😂😂. We'll have to come back again and see the rest because there was so much we didn't get to. Tip: get a hand stamp on your way out to get back in later in the same day.

New service: valet parking!
