Yes, I have been working FT, where I worked 2 weeks after I gave birth...PT...to help me transition to working at home while caring for my baby girl! I spaced out my 12 week maternity leave/baby bonding over the course of a year, still working at times during my supposed time off, because I was so grateful to be able to work from home while taking care of my first child and developing what I feel is such a strong bond. Now that it has been about a year of being a WAHM, going in 1.5 days a week...I must now go in 3 FT days. What I'm struggling with is finding a quality child care program that allows children under 2 to attend only 3 days a week. If I can't find a quality program, I'm not sure what I'll do...I've searched for quality co-ops...I can't find co-ops really in general (found one in Lafayette, two days a week, two hours each day...which will obviously not work) as I love the idea of parents contributing to their child's school. I could write a much longer summary, but I have to end with stating...there aren't programs out there to support FT working Moms who work PT from home that are of high quality and provide a group setting.
