This may sound a bit odd, but I weaned my baby girl when she was 14 months (because it just felt right to me at that time) and I think it happened so easily because I talked to her about it. I remember actually stroking her head during one of our last nursings and telling her I felt it was time for us to move on, that she was growing big and strong on her own and we were going to be done breastfeeding soon; that it had been an absolute pleasure and such an incredible special bonding time for us, but that we had lots of adventures to come and this was one of our steps we had to make in order to get to what was ahead of us. Now, I dunno if that was what did it, but I know it wasn’t too long after that we stopped, and it happened just like that. Good luck!
