All inclusive holiday

Looking for any recommendations for an all inclusive holiday! Looking for a week away where kids can have their own time (1yr old & 4 yr old) and my husband and I can have some time alone.. with wine.

Hmm. Well I didn’t have a child at the time, but about 4 months before I got pregnant my husband and I went to the Sandos Caracol all inclusive eco resort in Playa Del Carmen. It was super family friendly and when our daughter is older we will take her back. There were tons of options and fun things for families to enjoy and the kids all seemed to be having an absolute blast. They also didn’t have a lot of stairs, which was great for all the strollers. Haha. If you are willing to bring a nanny along, they had an adults only section as well so you and your husband could head over there and get some “kid free” time. Things that stand out as super family friendly were: -farm animals!! Like pigs and stuff!! And you could feed them (they provided free food to feed them, lol). -wild and cool animals that your 4yo would love like monkeys!! You can take a banana from one of the restaurants and the monkeys will come out of the trees and eat from your hand!!! -other cools wild animals like macaws and things -major family fun areas with crafting and stuff going on -busy but really nice family pools, shallow and clean so kiddos can play -a water park with slides and stuff -kid friendly food and also adult friendly food. -really nice hibachi restaurant (make reservations), and they put on a fun show for the kids -clean nice beach area, plenty of sand for the kids to play in. Adult friendly aspects: -adult only club with really good adult only drinks/etc. I think you had to pay a little extra for the adult club access or you had to be willing to sit through a timeshare pitch...we just paid the extra but if you have time to do the timeshare pitch for the free access then go for it! It’s worth it! -yoga on the beach -adult only day spa with some free features and pretty good massage therapists -proximity to downtown Playa Del Carmen was really good, I think it was about $10 American for the taxi and you can head down there with kids if you want or leave them with the sitter and go have an adult meal/night walk in the city. Overall we liked it a lot and will definitely return!!!

Omg a cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Specifically a Disney cruise. By FAR my best vacation of my memories. Bonus: they offer bad ass “kids clubs” where they baby sit for you 😍 so much to do, soooo many restaurants to eat at, so many pools to swim in, stops in so many beautiful places. Overall- awesome.

I was going to suggest a cruise too. There’s a Facebook page called Disney Cruise Line Junkies and there’s like, 80,000 people on it. You can get all sorts of advice. We’ve never been but people LOVE it.

I’m not sure your 1yo will be allowed at the kids clubs on cruises. I thought most started at 3yo & potty trained to be left at inclusive resorts...
