Any tips to stop my son from standing in the tub? Now that he's walking everywhere he won't sit!

Fill a laundry basket with ball pit balls and let him bathe in it

Make sure you get all the washing steps done at the beginning of the bath, before play time. When he stands up, bath time is done! Pull him out, PJs on, bedtime. It's amazing how fast kids learn when there is an immediate undesirable result from their own actions! :)

Mine is almost 20 months and he will literally only sit for the five seconds it takes to wash his feet. He's been like this since he could stand on his own. We use an inflatable tub (it actually has a lot of room to play) just so he doesn't slip. He's more focused on playing than maintaining balance so he's not ready for the full bath yet. https://www.amazon.com/Kel-Gar-52844-Snug-Tub-Duck/dp/B005CR8DVE/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=XXX-XXXX&sr=8-1&keywords=kelgar+snug+tub

I'd go for taking a shower if baby doesn't want to sit!

Us too. We put on the liquid soap on the way into the tub. Then when he stands we say, All done? And motion to take him up. He will shake his head and sit down again. If he stands again we repeat that. At some point he doesn't sit or says he's done and we take him away. We usually let him play with the fan switch to distract him on the way out so there's no fit.

We let ours bring his favorite toy trucks and a fireman's hat into the tub - now he grabs six trucks every night

Definitely a phase. My son did this, as well. I just was consistent with sitting him back down every time he stood. Like someone else said, if he just wasn't having it, every time he would stand, I would say, "All done!", and take him out. He caught on. I also put a folded towel on the edge of the tub, because I was afraid he would go chin first into it.

Also the boon bath toys are great. We have these which keeps him fairly busy: Boon Cogs Water Gears https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017IQZ616/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ovfUzbGVJB7GK
