Anyone else struggle with taking the little one out and about?

I have a 5 month old and it’s a mental struggle to go out with her. I worry about things like messing up her eating/napping schedule, that she might get sick, etc. I feel like I’m depriving her of outdoor experiences bc of my non-stop worrying. Any advice?

Start small with walks around the block etc.

I agree with starting small. Do it when you know she will be awake or go for a nice walk during her nap and she can sleep in the stroller/carrier. That's what I did a lot at first because i could get out of the house and my LO would still get a nap. You can always feed her while you are out.

This sounds more like Postpartum Anxiety. Suggest making an appointment with a trusted health care provider.

I had the same worries but remember your kiddo is very flexible and durable. As someone said u can feed em outside or feed em some before you go out and sleep when they need to. You can always cut your outings short if it doesn’t work out. Just be flexible yourself and it will get easier with each one.

I’m the same way! It drives me crazy I feel like I can’t get anything accomplished and it doesn’t help that LO doesn’t like car seat

Stop over analyzing! 5 months old ride in an infant car seat naps won’t be missed. Boobs and bottles whatever you use are both portable food will not be missed. It is ok for kids to get sick from time to time it helps build their immune system. Unfortunately life doesn’t and can’t stop because we have babies. You have to find ways to work your life into babies schedule and baby into your life schedule. I always say schedules are more of a guideline for my day but don’t need to happen exactly as said because life just doesn’t work that way
