Water broke at 37 weeks but it wasn't super clear, so in denial I walked to work and ran an important meeting. After two hours I stood up and gush! No one could tell though. Off to hospital, was induced, and after 4 hours of pushing finally got her out!

Scheduled induction planned for eight days after my due date: I had a foley balloon inserted around 8:30 pm, water broken around 1 am after the balloon finally came out, Pitocin started and cranked up every few hours, started back labor around 7 or 8 am, then finally started pushing a little before 3 in the afternoon. My son was born at 3:41 pm. Needless to say, I had ALL the drugs! Would I do it again? Definitely.

Oh wow! Awesome stories ladies! My first I was 16 and delivered her naturally, my second was an emergency c section due to severe preeclampsia and a blood pressure spike. This last pregnancy I was pregnant with twins. I was having stress test every week just to monitor the babies. A lot of the time they had trouble finding both babies on the test and ended up doing ultrasounds. And we had to do them at the hospital because doctors office wasn’t set up for twins. Well that night I was just fed up and wanted to go home(1 hour drive to my doctors) and I had just had an ultrasound earlier that day and everything looked great so I told them I was just going to head home. My doctor begged me to stay and good thing she did because baby b didn’t do well enough on hers.... 37 weeks 1 day and they started me on pitosin at about 10 that night and they broke my water. I couldn’t feel any contractions until something went “pop” maybe it was baby b’s water I’m not really sure. But whatever popped I started feeling them. I got my epidural because we anticipated we were going to have a breech baby. My boy was head down my girl was transverse across the top of him snuggling my rib cage(ouch). Anyways since it was twins and the circumstances I had to deliver in an operating room. They rolled me back there with 4 pushes my son was born at 443 am and my daughter(being the the stubborn girl she is) came feet first by breech extraction at 447 am. Everything was done within a half hour of being rolled back there! So we were successful at a vaginal twin delivery and a vbac.... which I recommend for any Mom considering because I don’t know how I would have cared for these babies trying to recover from a c section! Everyone was happy and healthy!

Labored for 8 hours, pushed for 15 minutes, baby emerged! Both of my babies just shot right out. I got so lucky! First time I was ever grateful to have wide-set hips 😂

Contractions started around 11am after some cuddle time with hubby, but I only realized it were contractions around 1.5 hours later. I had had cramps and abdominal pain on and off throughout my pregnancy. Got to the hospital at 3:30 and they sent us to go for a walk because I was only 4cm. Came back after 1.5 hours with 5.5cm and they admitted me. By the time I was in the l&d room, I felt the urge to push. The Dr. checked me and I was almost fully dilated. They asked me to wait because they were not prepared, yet. Everyone had been telling us to get ourselves comfortable since this was my first baby and they expected me to labor for longer. So, the nurse had to hurry up asking all the questions, which my husband had to answer at that point. We signed something - there is no way this signature could be considered legally binding in a court case. I would have signed anything to get it out of my face - no brain cells left to think about stuff like that in this moment. Baby was born after about 1.5 hours of pushing at 8pm.

4 days early. Back pain and10 min between contractions started at 9 Thursday night. In the morning, Called doc for labor check and got appointment for noon. Doc said 1 cm and we had a few days. Husband got home from work at 4:00 and we had 6 min between contractions. We headed to hospital at 5. They asked me for a urine sample and while doing that, lost mucus plug and water broke. Nurse checked me and her eyes got big and I told her birth plan included meds and she kind of laughed. From valet to Roman in our arms was 27 min. First baby. Everyone told me labor would be long so we were never in a hurry....

My girl decided to come on her actual due date. I was getting ready for work when i realized I was having contractions at around 6 am. By 11 am we were at the hospital and I was already 8cm dialated and had thrown up 4 times because of how quickly my body was transitioning. Got the epidural and at around 3pm it took 3 pushes and my beautiful girl was here.

I was 5 days overdue and determined to go into labor “naturally” without induction. Went to a routine NST and it came back normal but my BP was slightly elevated (had always been normal throughout pregnancy). Dr sat me down and basically begged me to agree to be induced before I developed preeclampsia. I didn’t want to and was all emotional about it but agreed finally and drove my car across the street to the hospital to check myself in. I called my husband on the way there, he was at work so he left and drove over to be with me. They started the induction at 9pm that night and for 3 days nothing happened. I didn’t dilate, had almost no contractions, nothing. Finally on day 3 I dilated about 1 cm and they started pitocin. 4 hours later my water broke and 4 hours after that contractions started. We called my mom and told her to come over when she was ready, she got there a couple hours later. 4.5 hours after that the OB checked on me and said it was time to push and 10 minutes later my daughter was born. If I were to do it all over again the only thing I’d change would be to ask for the epidural much sooner, lol.

First 42 weeks, pitosin, 4 hrs to go from 0-10 then 15 mins of pushing. 9.5 pounds. 2nd degree tearing Second I was in prelabour for 6 weeks, membrane sweep 41 weeks, contractions began 41w5 days. We got to the hospital and I was 5cm they got me situated told me it would be 3 hrs minimum, gave me gas and left 10 mins later I am telling my hubby I’m gonna push, he looked between my legs and started screaming that her head was coming out. I started hyperventilating telling him he’d better get ready to catch. After 6 times pounding on the call button the nurses came in and caught our baby girl 8.9 pounds. Second degree tearing. Third baby, my water broke in the morning so we went to check and they told me to come back when contractions were 5 mins apart or it had gone 24 hrs. Got home nothing.... at 4 am I was in the most excruciating pain and I felt like I was fading. I was vomiting all over. I told my hubby that something was really wrong and to call the ambulance. They were here at 4:20 and rushed me to the hospital. Baby was born 6am with the cord double wrapped around neck. I kept screaming trying to get someone to tell me why my baby wasn’t crying. Finally he cried and everything was right in my world. 9 pounds Would I do it again.... well I’ve got three kids 😂

First time around, 40 weeks 3 days, water broke at 3am, i developed pre eclampsia during labor. After I had a terrible time on petocin, I then developed pulmonary edema and was unable to breathe. It felt like an elephant was on my chest. So about 27 hours later, I couldn't breathe to push properly and heart rate started to drop. We ended in an emergency cesarean. Second time around, no pre e but it still ended the same way. I tried for vbac. Finally made it to pushing and his heart rate was dropping. During the cesarean they saw that his umbilical cord had a knot and during pushing it cut off too much supply to him. And apparently my insides were all messed up from the first cesarean. They had to "clean" me up. My bladder needed to be scraped off my uterus. And it looked like I had five cesareans from the amount of scar tissue I produced inside. Then 3 weeks later I had appendicitis and needed an appendectomy. So I had a newborn while dealing with two back to back stomach surgeries and postpartum! I can say, ten months later, life is good and we are all healthy and happy!! I'm already forgetting the pain.

40 weeks and 3 days over my water was leaking. They broke my water and I had to use pitocin, nothing happened. I wanted natural and he refused to come. Never descended even when the pitocin was at max. He was so stubborn. They didnt want him to poop or cry ( because he ended up pooping anyway) and he just did what he wanted to do from the beginning. The contractions are nothing that I have ever dreamed of. They were painful and I have a high pain tolerance. I kept reading oh they are like strong period cramps and thats not true. I would love to do it again. It was an experience and miracle because I was told before that kids were not going to happen for me

With my 1st I had her at 41 weeks, 6 days. I labored at home until I couldn't stand theight the contractions anymore. I was dialated to an 8 when I arrived at the hospital but all the rooms were full in L&D, triage, and the pediatric ward. So I labored in the circumcision room and delivered in the OR. I had absolutely no urge to push, pushed for about three hours, my water broke after an hour and a half of pushing. My labor was 11 hours 20 minutes. My second was born at 41 weeks, 1 day. My labor started out all over the place but then suddenly jumped to contractions being 30 seconds to a minute apart. She was born in the car (only 3 pushes this time and I finally feel the urge to push) with myself and my husband delivering. My labor was 5 hours 20 minutes. My third was born at 38 weeks. My water tricked a little when I woke up. Same labor experience as with the second. Not consistent and then suddenly jumped to contractions being 30 seconds to a minute apart. I arrived at the hospital dialated to a 10 already. Arm wrestled with a nurse who was trying to put an IV in my arm while I was pushing (I am very thankful to have never gotten or needed an IV). My kiddo was born after two or three pushes. He had fluid in his lungs and a little bit of jaundice but was fine after a few days. Labor was 3 hours 10 minutes. My fourth was born at 40 weeks and 5 days. Inconsistent labor. I took a warm bath since we were only a few minutes from the hospital. Instead of my contractions jumping to 30 seconds or so apart my water broke and she crowned when they were still 5 minutes apart. I climbed out of the tub, pushed twice, and she was born there in our bathroom. Labor was around 2 hours 10 minutes.

I went for my 39 week checkup and was told that I barely had any fluid and I should go to the hospital right away to get induced. I was so scared because we were just not ready at all (I know at 39 weeks lol) but I remember driving to my fiance job and telling him what the doctor said and one of his co-workers said "if they tell you to go in you better go in" so the next day which was a Tuesday we went in and 3hours later I was hooked up to all these machines. Nothing was really happening that night so the next morning I think I moved to 2cm and they gave me some pitocin to move things along and whoa! I was in so much pain due to all the contractions but I moved to a 5cm so I really thought I was getting somewhere. They couldn't really give me any more pitocin at a high dosage since when they did the baby heartbeat drops so they tried to just keep it a low dosage and I was having so many contractions I remember just screaming for the epidural because I was in some much pain and it was already like 7pm and nothing had happened for several hours so I was told I had to get a c-section (something I was trying so hard to avoid) and literally after 26 hours of labor finally she was born :) turned out her head was to the side which is why I was moving any further.

38 weeks 3 days: I woke up around 0746 on Dec. 16th thinking I had to use the bathroom, after a little bit I started getting dull cramps and figured I had to poop but nothing was coming out. Anyways I go lay down on the couch thinking that was the best thing to ease the cramping. After some time I wake my husband up so that he could rub my back. By now it’s about 0820. Now this is where we start freaking out because these “cramps” are pretty close together. It’s like what happened to the 10 mins apart then 5 and so on lol. It went from 15 mins apart straight to 2 mins. Mind you we have two other children that are sleeping, not dressed AND my freaking hospital bag wasn’t completely packed. So I’m like okay I think we need to head to the hospital. Now it’s maybe like 0850 at this point. I’m yelling at my 8 year old to wake up and get dressed (I don’t know why I was so concerned with them being dressed lol such a waste of time) my husband goes to get our 2 year old ready. Now I’m really freaking out because I’m fully aware that it’s contractions and they are about 45 seconds apart. My husband comes running downstairs to help me get to the car and I just can’t move anymore. I mean these contractions brought me to my knees....literally. I tell my husband “call the ambulance because I’m not going to make it”. He’s all like “come on babe we just have to get to the car” so now I’m yelling at him like “call them NOWWWW!” Haha. I stand up and just freeze. It was in that moment that I knew it was about to get real. I came out of my sweatpants and underwear sooo freaking quick y’all lol. I go sit on the couch and I’m just loosing it because I could tell my husband is terrified at this point lol. All I remember him saying to the operator is “I see something gray I don’t know if it’s the head it’s just gray, what should I do”? Finally the ambulance gets there and in walks Bill. The man that delivered our son. (I only remember because he said is name like 6 times trying to get my attention lol). He was awesome. He kept me focused and told me to hold my scream and use that in my pushing and next thing you know at 0909 (so they say) our baby boy was born! All in a matter of an hour and a half I gave birth right in my living room on the couch by the Christmas tree!!

I was induced the 4th at 7pm , I had nonstop contractions and didn’t get past 4cm for around 34 hours until the 6th at 7:30 her heart beat went up and I couldn’t get it back down so they rushed me to get her cut out and by 8:15am she was in the world
