Baby hates the carseat.

Hi everyone, I have a 3 month old and recently she started hating her carseat. I don’t know what to do. She’ll be fine for about 5 minutes and then starts whining and then full blown screaming/crying. She used to go to sleep in her carseat, but now she won’t. I always make sure that she is well fed and burped, I have tried trying to get her to nap it but that doesn’t work, so I have tried to place her in it after her nap which works a little better. Any suggestions on getting baby to like her carseat?

Mine would scream the whole car ride! It was terrible, mainly if someone wasn’t back there with her. So we got a the car seat mirror, we could see her and she could see herself. The ones with the lights and music is nice too it has a remote so you can turn it on up front. Even the simple mirrors might work. Later we switched to a Graco convertible car seat she could kinda sit up and she loves it. Hope you find something that works for you! It was the absolute worse when we went through it, I’d start crying with her too at first 😅

My mom said if she were driving she’d probably crash. It’s horrible. I was considering the Graco convertible seat. I will try the mirror and if that doesn’t help I will let her give her sister’s convertible seat a try.

I literally had to pull over on the freeway once because she started coughing and gagging from crying. Soon I stopped driving unless someone else could be there or it was absolutely necessary. Try some music too! Baby shark is a hit still for us lol good luck!

We went through that phase. We stumbled upon a song she would stop crying if played but otherwise, she would scream and not sleep the whole time. The mirror helped us too. She liked it better when we put her in a convertible but she was about 6months old so think she likes being able to see out as she sat up higher. But I feel your pain :(

Playing water sounds always helped for our daughter. We would connect YouTube through the car speakers so it played through and helped a lot. If there is anything at all that soothes her just try and bring that to the ride with you. Maybe get some little mobile/toys that connect to the car seat for her to look at...could be helpful maybe. Worked for us...good luck!
