Baby wakes up when placed on crib

E

Recently it’s been hard to put my 14mo in her crib when she’s asleep. It’s a hit and miss sometimes. But man it’s getting really tiring 😰

I went through this for SO LONG with my son. I had to do the cry it out method. Now he's almost 2 and he goes to sleep on his own when i tell him "okay buddy get in your bed its night night time". It just took lots of crying it out and being stern that it is bedtime and that means get in bed and relax and sleep

Unfortunately she doesn’t have her own room we all sleep in the same room and I have another baby coming in Feb. wonder how that is going to turn out 😭 I’m currently staying with my mom atm

Oh wow, okay. It is much harder to do the cry it out method when you are in the same room. I guess my advice would be to lay her down and then have everyone leave the room and be quiet. She'll cry it out and fall asleep. Then you guys could go back in the room.

I tried the Ferber method when she was around 8 months but again we all still had to share a room and my husband wasn’t having it

We tried cry it out from day one and let me say I'm soo happy we did.Its not easy and not for everyone. I just had to keep in the back if my mind its for his benefit. As soon as book and milk is done its crib and lights outs. Once you close that door don't go in till morning. First night cried for an hour. He was fine I watched on the monitor. Second night 45mins..3rd night 15mins and by the 4th night he was staying laying down and falling asleep with no issues. Just have to be consistent thats what I have picked up on all the stuff I have read.

I think it’ll be really hard to do at the moment since I’m staying with my mom cuz she already kind of tries to take over and she’ll just go to my LO or say something to me like I’m doing things wrong

    She’s somewhat overbearing

A friend of mine had the same issue. She put a T-shirt that she wore that day in the crib with the baby for a while, the smell of her mom calm the baby down and I think she felt that her mom with her. If you are using the same room this might work
