Belly sleepers

Hi all! So my 8 month old LO is constantly flipping onto his belly while in the crib. He sleeps with his arm and legs tucked under him. We have learned to just let him be as that is how he wants to sleep, but the constant wetness in the morning is killing me. What we think is happening is he fills his diaper but the weight of his body is squishing the pee and leaking out the top of his diaper. We have tried extra diapering, a cut layer on the top ( wouldn’t suggest that as there was crystals all over the place). We used a few different overnight diapers. It just doesn’t matter. We are just dying to have a free laundry day lol Any suggestions?

We usually just turn them over change them and let them sleep. Or stock up on sheets or maybe try putting a pad down?

Have you tried sizing up? It helped a little for us... we also bought extra sheets. Still ended up doing laundry at least twice a week around that time

Size up, or huggies overnights. Also- make sure you tuck his weenie down so he isn’t peeing up and out

Oh also I read on here actually that someone said to not have them wear the two piece jammies bc the elastic in the pants can tug down on the diaper..... if that makes sense

I agree with sizing up, and pointing him down. Also, don’t make the diaper too tight cause then the top bows when it gets full.

Size up, point him down (although if he's scrunching up like that it may just reposition itself back up) and my friend swears footy pajamas worked better than 2 price pjs

Tuck Weenie downwards.. and consider having him sleep on puppy pads

Sposies!!!! We had the same problem with our son and God bless the friend who told us about them. They’re called “diaper doublers” - they are essentially another layer (kind looks like a pad) that you just put in their diaper. They work wonders! https://www.amazon.com/dp/BXXX-XXXXFK/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_HKycDbRH4R3ZC

We use the sposies too and my son still gets wet. My son is 2.5 and I still change sheets every single morning. I’m at terms with it - I have to do laundry anyways!!

Hello. I know you have mentioned that you have tried the overnight diapers. Don’t know if you have already tried the snug and dry 12 hr protection diaper from Huggies. My daughter is 10 months old. She’s a belly sleeper and turns from side to side as well when she sleeps, throughout the night, until the morning. The only times she has leaked out has been my lacking of tightening the diaper. As a first time mom, I tend to still be afraid and concern when tightening the diaper ☺️.
