Book recommendations?
So I recently got 1 day each week by hubby to be able to relax in tub and read a book for an hour. I haven’t read a book for enjoyment for 5 years. Does any one have any recommendations for me. I’m open to anything except children’s books
If your into crime novels; I'm currently reading one called "Her every fear" by Peter Swanson. I'm a bit more than halfway through and it's really good.
"Look for me" by Lisa Gardner. Suspenseful, quick read.
I have been reading Doctor Who “The Clockwise Man” pretty good. -What Alice Forgot (is pretty good) -Fervent -All the lights we cannot see (goes back in forth) -the mercy falls collection (is my personal favorite) time period books
Wild by Cheryl stray and anything written by David Sedaris
I read a lot of Christian Mom books but that's a pretty specific genre so if you want those recs, let me know. I also love Jodie Picoult - The Storyteller is my favorite. CS Lewis The Chronicles of Narnia are great. And The Nightingale was fantastic.
I reread all my Anne Shirley books whenever I get a chance. I absolutely adore them. Always have, always will
I like the Harry Bosch novels by Michael Conley (detective novels) I read John Irving and Joyce Carol Oats a lot too. TBH though I rarely have time to read for fun these days between soccer, Girl Scouts, working full time and newborn #3!
Shantaram is a great one
All we ever wanted by Emily Giffin. All of her books are perfect tub reads :)
What is your favorite genre?
All of the CECILIYA AHERN'S BOOKS, omg, try it!
Girl wash your face so good
Girl wash your face does look good 🤗
I found a book called I heart my little assholes
Cecilia Ahern is chicky-Flicky & I’ve enjoyed her books. A fabulous book is Reading People by Anne Bogel - she has a wonderful web site above - Jessica Turner at The Mom Creative has wonderful book recs. If you like mysteries, I like Catherine Coulter’s FBI & the Brit in the FBI series and the Linda Fairstein series.
Read the Scottish author Ian Rankin. His hero is old fart cop in the Scottish police in Edinburgh, Scotland. Great reads. From Skip.
I recommend In this order the top 3 American crime and mystery authors: 1. (the best) Sara Paretsky, 2. (almost the best) Sharyn McCrumb - unfortunately she just passed away, and 3. (Not quite in the top two, but still super reads) Marcia Muller. All three writers’ protagonists are three nasty get-in-your-face female private eye detectives. I have read mall of their books. I think you will like. Also from Skip. Still trying to get a hang of this app. Great reading. A
