Breastfeeding

I am six months postpartum and no period. I have heard it can take a year. What has everyone else’s situation been like?

Honestly mine surprised the heck out of me at 3 months. I was like dude. I'm not ready for this. Every woman is different.

Are you breastfeeding? If so, it doesn’t come back for most women until they stop

Mine came back when I started baby on solids. No lie Mabey even the day after he took his first solid food lol if ur breastfeeding it comes in later. The hormone that produces milk is the same as the one for ur period so if your body is busy making milk it doesn’t have time for the period. So I’m told 😂

With my 1st baby, I got it back after I went back to work(he was 6 months). I only had one and then I found out I was preggers 😂😂 now with my 2nd one I went back to work way sooner(she's 3 months) & I'm just counting down the days she'll sneak up on me...hopefully it doesn't follow with another prego surprise 😂

I pumped, but mine returned 3 months after I stopped pumping. So 9 months after my son was born (pumped for 6 months), and I pumped for 7 months with my daughter and just stopped, no period yet, thinking I will get around first of the year, since I just finished drying up.

I think it was 2 months, and I was breastfeeding. Still am with a 14 month old. I didn’t really get back to before I had the baby until 6 months. Everyone is different!

I am EBF but I got mine back when baby was a month old. The doctor told me that was fine and I may not get it the next month, but I've gotten it every month since. Baby just turn 6 months old lol Also, she was feeding at least every 2 hours at the time I got my period - everyone is different!

I breastfed/pumped for 13 months. Weaned off the pump extremely slowly - last day was 5 minutes in the morning and 5 at night. I got my period 2 weeks after stopping. It seems to be pretty close to normal so far. I dreaded it coming back but I really missed this estrogen 🤗 . My husband did too 😆 hahaha.
