Car seat doesn’t fit

A

Anyone else feel their car is too small for car seat?? We upgraded to a multi year seat and it really fits snugly my front seat is uncomfortable for anyone over 5 ft and my son hates the angle it’s at ( loves dads truck tho). I know it’s not the end of the world just wondering if others are dealing with this

Yes. With the extended rear facing trend ( which is a good thing!) it seems that more and more car seat manufacturers make larger rear facing seats, which simply don’t fit and allow the front passenger any leg room. I’ve had to make my peace with this and just put my passengers in the back seat. My child rear facing is more important to me, than my passenger fitting in the front seat. Also, once you turn the seat front facing the problem disappears entirely.

Yes. And I drive a decent sized car. I don’t plan to turn it forward facing until we have to based on size but I’m also looking forward to having my front passenger seat back again.

We have a full size and a suv. Ours is a transition car seat too and I've noticed it too. I love taking the suv over the full size due to similar issues. Hopefully future car seats will evolve to fit better but we just kinda have to endure for now.

I really dont think it’s avoidable after your comments lol I’m just glad it’s not only me. I drove an Escalade and then downgraded to a CTS car even in the suv LOs car seat was against my seat and we just moved him behind driver seat in car yesterday which works better. Safety is always first but nice to have everyone comfortable

We have a graco and safety first car seat m. Both are great in our minds the chest clip on graco seems to slide a bit easier which I’m not a fan of
