Change in sleep

My 9mo was doing so great with sleeping and napping. We were even able to reduce her down to 2 naps (a 1hr and a 2hr nap). About a week ago she suddenly decided to stop sleeping 11-12hrs a night and not to sleep more than 30min and 1hr for her 2 naps. She also won’t let us put her down anymore for naps. She’ll scream bloody murder if we do. I think it’s teething but even giving her Tylenol doesn’t seem to help with her sleeping. Her room is black and we use a sound machine. I don’t know what else to do...

Has she had a fever? Could be an ear infection.

No fever. She was on an antibiotic for a UTI but during the entire time she was sleeping perfectly! And the last 2 out of 10 day dose is when it all started

It could just be a phase. My LO goes through those sometimes. I've noticed sometimes I happens after a growth spurt. I'd suggest just sticking to your normal schedule and sleep routine. She will get the idea that nothing is changing and hopefully just go back to her normal self soon.

Sounds like it could be teething. Try switching to baby Motrin instead of Tylenol. It worked great with my son while he was teething. Tylenol did not do anything for him.

It’s really hard sticking to the schedule because she’s been waking up at 530 instead of 730/8am. I try to get her back to sleep but yesterday she wasn’t having it. As we speak (610am) she’s been up for 40mins and it’s sounding like she might be going back to bed 🙏🏽. Once she gets up this early it’s hard to put her down for her first nap at 10am so then we’re going down at 8, 12 and 4 and her bedtime has pushed back by a half hour 😕.. I will have to try to Motrin

My LO wakes up at about that time. We do nap at 8:30 or 9 and then a second nap around 1 or 1:30. Bedtime is 6:30-7. She usually does 30-45mins for the first nap and 1.5-2 hours for the second nap. Maybe try that schedule so see if taking 1 nap out helps her sleep longer.

We don’t want her up that early especially now with the warmer weather coming. I like the 730/8 wake up and bedtime at 730. It allows us to stay out later if we’re doing something. Hopefully everything goes back to the way it was soon. Thanks for all the help

one of my 9 month olds (twins) screams like that when putting him down. it’s neither teething nor fever. so don’t give meds unless needed (just saying. not judging). he demands to be picked up. dr says just separation anxiety. at bedtime they both scream like crazy because they want to play. just go with it. don’t stress. i suggest tire the baby out during the day with playtime and stimulation, and time in the walker. works for us.

we also do the 730/8 bedtime sometimes it gets stretched as late as 10:30 but they still get up early. don’t know why. last week it was 7, then 6, then 5... mom says they don’t go back to sleep after i leave for work. *shrugs*

Our 18 month old goes to bed around 6:30ish and wakes up around 6 in the morning. But he just started fighting his naps. He will scream bloody murder when put him down. If we leave him for 5 min or so he might calm down but we can only get 1 nap in at about 90 min if we are lucky.
