Chiropractor

Has anyone every taken their baby to the chiropractor? Why did you and how did it affect your baby? I had heard from someone that their baby would cry in the car seat and was told by someone to take them to a chiropractor and they did and no more crying. So I took my baby yesterday to c if it would help since we have a 2.5hr car ride Friday and she usually cry’s the whole time in hopes that it will help. Afterwards she went straight to sleep in the car in the way home which was Surprising because she was hungry and then once we got home and she ate she seems more fussier then normal and kept rubbing her eyes like she was tired but she wouldn’t fall asleep. She would nap off and on for like 5 min each time. Finally before bed I gave her Tylenol to c if that would help. Well she has been up off and on all night and normal she sleeps all night long with no problems. Not sure what to do. Plan on calling the chiropractor in the morning but in the mean time was trying to see if anyone else had this happen?

If you’re worried, please call your pediatrician too

I’ve thought about taking my son who’s almost 11 mo He had major tummy issues in the beginning and I’ve heard a Chiropractor can help with colic and reflux issues. But I’m curious because my son seems to hate my small car oddly he loved my suv so I’m definitely going to follow this

I have been getting my child adjustments since he was born. I did research on a chiropractor that had experience and knowledge in pediatrics, which I highly recommend. It was strange watching a baby being adjusted but the doctor explained everything and that pressure can occur on their little joints during birth trauma and also from the position they are in, while in the car seats. He explained the importance of a good quality car seat with enough padding for support. He is 18 months now and goes regularly for adjustments and he actually enjoys them now! I will say, it is still a little strange to hear his back pop, but he doesn’t seem to mind.

My daughter started going at 5mo. It helped so much with her reflux and constipation!

Just make sure you pick someone carefully. I’ve heard some horror stories from my cousin who is a pediatrician.

I started seeing a C while pregnant. The office I go to offers free adjustments for baby the first year of life if momma is a regular patient. He gets adjusted every month (how often I go). He was 2 months I think when we started. It was the first time I went after having him. We take 3 hour trips to see his grandparents often (at least once a month) and I’m sure the C helps.

I did go to one that specializes in infants and I txted her this morning and she called me back a little later to explain what was going on with my baby. She said that is was normal for babies to feel weird after there first few times because they aren’t use to their body’s being aligned correctly and the toxin from getting adjusted are working there way out and stuff. She will explain more next wk when we go back for the first really visit she just did a quick adjustment for me to see if it will help for the car ride tomorrow. So I can update on this after the trip and after we go back Tuesday for more info and another adjustment.
