Daycare

Hey everyone my toddler starts daycare on Tuesday. What should she wear & bring!! What else do I do not to be a mess while I’m at work. Also I don’t get to be the one to pick her up the first day and when I get home she gonna be asleep. Anyway not to be a mess😭😭😭

Usually toddlers need a bottle or sipi cup for water and another one for milk. St least two sets of changing clothes , diapers and wipes and diaper cream . You can also send a old big t shirt for her to wear during art or a smock Usually children are more willing to wear the old t shirt since is more comfortable than smocks also for nap time will be great if you provide a little comfy blanket and a staff animal so your baby feel home by having something that remind of home or Mom Good luck :) first days are very hard for little toddlers. The separation anxiety is hard but she/him will get used to it faster if the drop off times are quick

Lol do they use any apps to give you updates about her day as post pictures and videos of her day ? Most child care centers do these days and really helps parents a lot to be more relax while at work knowing that their children are okay by getting updates and pics.

She sends pictures and sends home papers of how she was and what she did all day!

I’m also worried too is she barley has been around kids. And now she will be full time

I would recommend a lot of vitamins, like C and D and probiotics. When I put my son in daycare he got sick a lot because of his immune system getting used to the others, and lack of vitamins! Much luck, I didn’t do to well, we have been home ever since I took him out.

:( I wish I could be home with her! It’s just her father and me both work full time jobs and mine requires me to get mandated a lot

I understand, I tried going back to work. But it seemed for expensive and stressful so I pulled him out of school.

I use to pay 200 a week plus all the other bills, it’s hard. Specially when you don’t have support. My family is all back home and so is his.

Yeah . His family doesn’t like my daughter so they don’t help us mine on the other hand does

Most daycares will let you call and check on her throughout the day if needed. This can be really reassuring

Sheet and blanket, lovey for nap time. Leggings and a shirt, something comfy and easy to get on and off for potty or diaper changes

My son is in preschool. He needs a blanket for nap, one change of clothing (socks, underwear, pants, shirt) everything else is provided.

Play clothes nothing you are care if it gets dirty or stained. Quick goodbyes are always easier on everyone. Bring a soft toy that she can sleep with.

The pre-made meals at Walmart or so much easier than having to pre-prep before you go to work and then after going to work having to take your child to school after getting everything ready I work overnights at a gas station I feel your pain
