Drop in supply

Anonymous

Baby is 6 months old, barely started BLW for maybe 2 meals over the holidays. My usual “fullness” (not engorgement, that was during my mat leave so I know it’s not enforcement), no longer happens when it’s about time to nurse/pump. Been back at work 2 days now and I’m barely making enough for baby’s bottles (today I had 10 oz.) whereas I use to make a little more, and would freeze maybe 1-2 bag average at end of week? I pump every 3 hours at work, which is approx her schedule. I’ve already gone they the “normalized” supply so I’m not sure why it’s dipping? Maybe stress because hubby and I have been arguing more recently, or I’m eating less healthy bc it’s been the holidays, or I’ve been dehyadrTed bc holidays/running around? Anyways, I know all the tips and tricks so I’m trying it. Just need some words of encouragement ❤️ Thank you!’

Not sure why your supply dipped but maybe try pumping every 2 hrs for a couple of days or do a couple power pumps at home. Power pumps are like cluster feeding trying to increase the supply.

Your welcome, I hope that helps. Mothers milk tea is also supposed to help. I only pumped for 6 weeks so cant say wether it works or not.

Have you tried the mother’s milk tea? That helps me whenever I feel like I’m not making enough, and just drink lots of water!
