Ear piercing

I got my daughters ears pierced about 2 weeks ago. How long do I have to wash the holes...still everyday?

They didn’t give you cleaning solution? 6weeks.

No they just said to clean with soap and water. But I wasn’t sure for how long

Okay! I live in Maryland, and whether for child or adult (at least in my own experiences), I’ve received cleaning solution from the piercing place and they say to do this for 6weeks. Everyone likely has different advice though.

Cleaning solution isn’t necessary, just plain soap and water. 6 weeks is the standard. You should wash front and back as well as turn the earrings in the hole.

Honestly soap and water isn't good for piercings, salt water is perfect though, doesn't dry out the piercing and is the same pH and doesn't let soap get stuck which can cause infection.

Soap and water is what they used to tell us, but @Lulu’s salt water suggestion sounds spot on, I never thought of that!

I had my baby' ears pierced at her pediatrician's office and the instructions were to clean with alcohol twice a day and turn the earrings for 6 weeks.

Yes salt water is the best. You can make it your own. Twice a day. Spray in the morning and one before bed time. After you spray it try to twist the earring to turn it around and push back and forth for 2 months. That’s what the registered piercing lady told me. 😊
