Feeding

Hi everyone! I’m having a really hard time coming up with a menu for my 8 month old. I’m worried I’m not feeding him enough solids and I’m not sure what to feed him. I’m making homemade baby food but I’m kind of stuck at this point. Looking for any help! Thanks :)

Hi there!! Have you tried regular foods yet?? If not consider it!! Around8/9 months my daughter started to dislike puréed baby foods and only wanted real food. By 10 months she flat refused purée all together! At first it stressed me out until I realized how much easier it was to just feed her what I was eating. If your son isn’t ready for that yet try to purée whatever food you eat and offer it to him. One thing I did was wait a little too long to offer lots of meats. Now she’s pretty picky about meat and I blame myself. So if you haven’t already, make sure to start adding that in!

My daughter was about that age when I started looking into Baby Led Weaning. You can find lots of great stuff on Pinterest about it. It got her really excited about food when I started giving her orange wedges, slices of melon and large pieces of broccoli to gnaw on. She is almost 3 now and loves to eat a very wide variety of foods, including lots of veggies. Not a picky eater at all
