Fun way to get my little freak (I mean toddler) to brush their teeth

Anonymous

So this has been working!! Lately I grab one of the stuffed animals and pretend to brush its teeth while my toddler brushes theirs. Then I switch...have my toddler brush the bears teeth while I brush the toddlers:). Nothing else was really working (not even brushing mine or letting my toddler brush mine while I brush theirs). This has been the most effective way. Just thought I’d share.

It’s a fight! Mine would mimic what I do sometimes so we try to brush our teeth at the same time. Plus sing too 😅 she likes nursery rhymes and we’ve seen some with brushing teeth so it’s helps.

I let mine sit on the bathroom counter 😅 he thinks it’s just so awesome that he doesn’t even fight tooth brushing lol

I let my daughter sit on the counter too. Some days she lets me, and some days I have to let her play in the sink to get it done

My son sits on the counter and he'll play with the little animal figures I have while I brush. He'll still sometimes pull away, so I end up having to be extra stubborn. Recently we found a video on Sesame Street called Brushy Brush. So I'll play that and sing along.

I put my son in his highchair and brush while he watches the tablet sometimes and others I let him stand on the step stool and use and electric toothbrush it's a lot easier!

I often do let her sit on the counter too but I let her sit up on counters all the time so it’s not even a novelty for her. The teddy bear/doll trick works better. 🤷‍♀️

An electric toothbrush! We also use a board game called “Bunny Bedtime” as a bedtime routine and brushing teeth is apart of the game. My 2 year old loves it!
