Food! Candy, chocolate, nuts, etc. Everyone loves food. Gift certificates to movie theaters or restaurants will usually get used. If they like alcohol, subscription to a beer of the month club or wine club.

My hubby LOVES cooking and everything cooking related. Last year I got him a cast iron skillet that he is obsessed with. He babys that thing! This year I'm getting him a fancy wok set. Also throwing in a sweater and skillet accessories. My father in law loves eating out, so we usually get him a gift card to a restaurant.

The most fun we've had shopping for family members was an afternoon we set aside to head to the Keystone bar in San Francisco where we told the bartender we were trying to decide on a bourbon for my father-in-law. We got a few free stops and a few drinks later we had our gift for him picked out ☺️

My husband always says he wants nothing (cause he buys himself everything, lol). So I just buy him things I want him to have. Like I really like how he looks in certain clothes, and I’ll buy it for him. Last year, I got him a fitted pajama shirt and pants set— cause I like how he looks in that style. This year I got him some briefs (I also love him in some nice form fitting boxers!) and also got him some workout gear since he’s been showing an interest in the gym

For my father in law, I notice he always wears those mock neck sweaters with the zipper going half way down (no idea what it’s called), so I got him that. I’ve gone to Old Navy in the past to get him sweater, because older dudes can never have enough . My mother in law is one of those people with everything and more things than she needs, so we get her things she likes eating, like beef jerky, or renew her fishing permit (she loves fishing).
