Has anyone used the Ferber method to sleep train their baby? It’s night 3 for my baby using the Ferber method and I have noticed that her naps are much better than before. Her naps used to be so irregular and short! I’ve got a few questions though: is it normal for my baby to cry a bit before putting her down for her naps? Also the same thing for bed time. Sometimes she’ll start to cry when I lay her down for naps.

There is a Facebook group called respectful sleep training/learning that has all sorts of great information on sleep training! We did extinction and my little one (6.5 months now -4.5 Months when we sleep trained) will still fuss sometimes before naps but usually when she’s overtired! For bed she would fuss a little for a few weeks after we started as I was trying to figure out the best schedule for her.

Yeah like my daughter has been napping well. But it’s just the initial part where she’ll cry for maybe 5 minutes then take her nap. I know that she’s tired though because she’ll just rest her head on me when I hold her and she doesn’t want to play with her toys. I guess I’m just feeling a little bad that’s all 😅

Yeah, it's super common to whine and fuss before falling asleep. Even when he naps on me he kinda cries and stuff for a few minutes so I figure if he can do it on me he can do it in his bed!

Yes, we sleep trained our daughter using the Ferber method. She would fuss for 5-10 minutes whenever we would laid her down for naps or for regular bedtime for about a month. Now I lay her down, she grabs for her 2 loveys and is asleep before I can get back down the stairs. I think she just needed to get used to everything.

I had to with my middle son when he was just shy of a year. He was a terrible sleeper. I had tried everything and refused to do a full on cio method. We did the Ferber and reassuring him. If you stick with it and do it properly you'll see it work beautifully. After a few days he was sleeping so much better. She might be crying just bc she doesn't want to sleep lol.....how old is she? Could be a growth spurt as well
