Hi all, I WFH Wednesday and I have twin girls who just turned 2. I am looking to put them in some type of class/activity Wednesday evening and something Saturday morning. They can be two different activities or same activity offered these two days. I am unsure what classes/activities are good at this age. Any recommendations? Thank you in advance!

Are you looking for a drop-off type thing so you can get work done or a class you’d do with them? For drop-off I’d recommend checking out Recess. They even have a place where you can work right there while they watch your kids.

Thanks Sara. Not drop off, but stay and engage/watch. Like ballet, karate, gymnastics... just not sure what good at this age...

What do your daughters like to do? Are they really musical or more physical? Are they shy or more outgoing? You can use their personalities to help figure out what they might like to do. Also, at this age everything is exploration. Look in your area for what studios are offering classes in their age group and then spend a month trying things out. Usually studios have a “try a class” program. Try tumbling! Try dance! See what your daughters respond to before you commit to a program.

And really, at this age everything is just about fun and meaningful movement of the body in a group setting.

Yea to echo Margaret it really depends on your kid. My daughter loves crafts, music and dance but isn't interested in really physical stuff like soccer (at least not yet). But some kids love doing soccer starting at age 2 because they love running around and really being physical. A lot of these programs have a free trial class. Music for Aardvarks offers a trial class.
