How do you get your kids to eat vegetables

I have a 6 year old and a 8 year old that refused to eat vegetables. I have tried all kinds of vegetables and have cooked them different ways and still nothing. They get a different vegetable everyday for dinner. I've even gone so far as to try and blend them up to disguise vegetables. cauliflower mashed potatoes broccoli cheese soup. How do you get your kids to eat vegetable?

    See what flavors they like and add it to the veggies. Like if they like ranch. Try cooking them with a ranch powder

    I’ve always given my kids the veggies first from when they first started eating. Veggies first, then protein and last the carbs. If I would give my 1,5 yo the pasta first he would reject everything else. My 5 yo gets everything at the same time since she was approx 3 but I give her just a little carbs and she can have more when she finished the rest. But she does love her veggies. She normally prepares her own plate of peppers, carrots, cucumbers and cocktail tomatoes to snack on while I prepare dinner. Also I think eating healthy overall and keeping fast food and sweets to a minimum really helps. If you don’t eat a lot of fried and sugary foods fruit and veggies will taste better. Sad but true😩Of course your kids are much older but maybe it applies to someone else.

    There are a few things you can do to spark more interest in vegetables. If you haven’t already, take them to the farmers markets and talk to the farmers so they can learn about how the food is grown and cared for. Bring a recipe along that you’ve all picked out together and buy the foods - create the meal together when you’re home! Even add in what’s great about the particular veggie - so for something with carrots - explain how beneficial it is for your eyes. This is just a start but the more involved kids are with food, the more they may take interest. Good luck!

    I say keep trying and offering the veggies to them. Can you try meatless meals sometimes? I cook mainly veggie dishes, so even though my 3 and 6 yo kids get more excited for meat and carbs than the veggies, they’ll eat them because usually that’s all that I’ve made so it’s eat that, or nothing!

    I only give veggies first in the meal. For example if we are having pasta with broccoli, I cook the broccoli first & plate that up for my daughter. When she asks for the pasta and say “it’s still cooking and if you eat all your broccoli you can have some pasta”

    Hidden veggie meatballs. I think there’s also a recipe out there where they somehow get cauliflower in Mac n cheese... maybe you can blend a vegetable into regular marinara or tomato sauce with some pasta. Your kids don’t even like dipping their veggies in sauce? I know your kids are much older than my son but he just figured out that dipping stuff in sauce is fun and tasty lol
