How to disinfect books
Ok so at church today in the cry room there was a sick kid... and she was playing with my baby's toys, not usually a problem but the little girl had a runny nose and sounded junky in the chest and she was putting them in her mouth (cringe). Toys are books and a wooden bead necklace.... how should I clean these items? Some of them are irreplaceable and I would like to keep them all!
Are they books with sturdier pages? I would use the paci & teether cleaning wipes. I don’t usually break them out but when it’s something you can’t necessarily soak, I think that’d be your best bet!
Wet ones wipes!
@Brooke what brand do you use? I didn't even know they made those! Lol
Also, viruses only live a few days. Just quarantine for a few days.
@B that is super helpful, thanks!
Or toss them in a ziplock and freeze them overnight. Deep freezers are best if you have them, but really any good freezer will be enough to kill any germs that might be living on them. Also a good trick for stuffed animals that can’t go in the washer.
Great idea @Andrea!
Alcohol in a spray bottle. Let the toys dry for minutes and they are good to go. Dont know if works for stuffed animal toys
What about seventh generation spray??
U could always clean plastic toys w/bleach ~ spray them, or soak them, or use Clorox wipes ~ I need to do this more often!
