How to stop swearing help!

How do you stop your 3year old from swearing? Every time he plays or is doing something where something breaks or falls he laughs and says oh F***.

Is someone modeling that to him?

I really think it's from his father although I spend most of them time with them here and there if their father is around most of his speaking is the slurred under the breath swearing he says he's has tried to not do it and Everytime I hear him I always tend to yell and I always say please don't talk like that in front of them. But of course they are sponges. I have twins and it always seems to be the same one that only repeats it. I also think that I made the mistake of getting mad one day when he said it and yelled at him to never say that again. It seems like every since then he now says it more🤦🏻‍♀️

Try and give him words he can use instead, and explain to him that that is just a grown up word. If he smiles it sounds like he knows exactly what he's doing, and is trying to get a rise out of you. So just tell him these things in a matter of fact way and punish him appropriately.

I wouldn’t say it’s a grown up word because some kids want to be grown up so they’ll try to act like it.. and thus use that grown up word. Maybe say that it’s a word that nobody likes and wants to be around when said. It makes mom and dad sad. No kid wants to be alone or make their parents sad

Just ignore it. The more you react the more he will say it. Same for when dad swears. Only comment calmly.
