Just curious... is there a magical song that gets your baby calm or to go to sleep? My husband played “Big Jet Plane” by Angus and Julia Stone to my belly while I was pregnant (I played “Dear Theodosia” from Hamilton). My choice didn’t stick, but just singing a few lines of “Big Jet Plane” will knock my son out cold. In fact, I wasn’t thinking tonight while nursing and singing my usual bedtime songs to DS, and when I started singing that one, he unlatched because he dozed off right away. It’s amazing!

Yoga chanting does it for my little guy! I did yoga through my pregnancy and think he remembers it. I don’t know all the words so make a lot of it up so it’s entertaining for me too 😆

Iron and Wine on the speaker, singing - Surfer Girl by The Beach Boys, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, or I Will by the Beatles, and my husband's yoga chanting are our go-tos.

Not to get her to sleep, but to calm my 9 month old we sing Wheels on the Bus. I’m convinced it’s because we sang it so much to my almost 3 year old when her sister was in my belly!

Smile by Barbara Streisand. Since infancy as soon as the instruments would start on the beginning he immediately would calm down. By the second verse he is out! Still works today and he's 3.

I’m going to have to check out all these songs! I sing a really really corny made up song in Tagalog and my husband always laughs at me when I sing it, but my girl loves it.

My 3 year old knows every world to “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra. That’s our go-to. She calls it “Some Day”

The “Happy Song” by Imogen Heap, not necessarily for sleeping but more for calming. The producers purposely created a song that used sounds, tones and pitches that babies positively respond to. My son isn’t a big fan of his car seat and can get upset, turn on that song and he is fine.

The wind by Cat Stevens and you are my sunshine calms my daughter down almost instantly. Or if she’s just grumpy we sing the little Einstein’s theme song and she cheers right up.

My husband used to sing Misty Mountains from the Hobbit to our son when he was younger. The low tones lulled him right away.

Pandora- Rockabye Baby station has songs you’ll know remixed as instrumental lullabies. Still use this station when putting my 9yr old twins down for the night😆
