Learning apps

Anyone have any recommendations for learning apps for an almost two year old? My daughter got a tablet for Christmas and she’s mainly only been watching shows and movies on it. I try to limit her screen time but I would really like to start showing her some apps that teach words, colors, animals, etc... something that will get her thinking on top of when I read with her and do flash cards. Thank you.

I’m on the same boat, a lot you have to subscribe and pay.

We spent on a Sesame Street app but most others I find aren’t really helpful at that age. The free apps are quite annoying since they lock features and it is hard to explain to a toddler why some icons don’t work. I’ve tried ABC Mouse among a few others and I just didn’t like the layout, not very child-user friendly in my opinion. Sorry to be negative but I’ve had a lot of frustrations with the tablet.

Homer is a bit easier to navigate and my son loved it (we stopped the subscription as it got expensive). We do Dave and Ava, Dr. Astro Cat, and Edukids (kind of annoying, but it was the first app we used when my son was 2). My hubby often has saved up points to use toward apps, so it helps pay for levels

Look up Fisher price apps. They have a ton, and they're free! There is books, ABCs, shapes, learning body parts. Really cool apps

Elmo ABCs and Elmo 123s, Funny Foods (which is nice because they have more advanced games too). You do have to pay a small amount, but totally worth it.
