Looking for suggestions on toothpaste for baby

Hello Until now I was just using finger brush and cleaned my baby boy's teeth with water. My kid is one year old. My ped advised to use tooth paste. I am looking for suggestions for the toothpaste that is fluoride free and less chemicals as possible. TIA...!!

If she’s a year old, I’d suggest taking her for her first dental appointment. The dentist can give you tips on the proper toothbrush and toothpaste to use and they’ll probably recommend a fluoride treatment/sealant, especially if you aren’t using fluoride toothpaste for some reason.

Our doc said to use a small smear of flouride toothpaste.

I’ve heard using a tiny bit of toothpaste with fluoride is fine. They say “half a grain of rice” size. I use our normal toothpaste with our toddlers when I brush their teeth ... I give them Toms Fluoride Free if I’m letting them “brush themselves.” Because they basically just suck the toothpaste off the brush.

I use Tom’s too. They have fluoridated and fluoride free, whichever you’d rather. Our dentist recommended using toothpaste with fluoride, too.

We use Tom’s as well and apply a rice grain size to his toothbrush.
