My 18mo has been coughing, help!

My daughter has been coughing, not excessively. Only a few times throughout the day, and at night. She is 18 months old and Im not sure what to do. There are no other symptoms. I will call my pediatrician tomorrow, but she won’t get back to me right away; and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for tonight? Thanks in advance.

Go into your bathroom, close the door and turn the shower on as got as it can and stay in there while it steams up. Could be dry in your house so if you have a humidifier definitely turn that on.

Keep warm humidifier on in room (and throughout house if you have multiple). Warm baths at night and middle of day if you can. I cannot remember but I think @12 mos is when they can now have honey? We take it by the tsp and it helps us.

Same as above. Also, kids cough drops which are lollipops. It's honey or menthol. Target has several types.

Kids also learn to cough for attention. It’s not always a symptom of them being sick, especially if their temperature is normal.

Was thinking same as Mitch. Do you notice when she does it? Is she looking at you? Does she go right back to “fine” or smiling after you check on her? Not always the case but I definitely had an attention-cougher Lol
