My 7mo is officially teething

I just finished sleep training my baby and now she’s recovering from being sick and then her two bottom center teeth are erupting! I’m a bit lost on what to do. This will be the second night of teething baby and I would do night time feedings when she’s wake up crying again. I don’t know if I should stick with the Ferber Method or what. I’m just kind of lost. Any advice?

Ugh. Just survive. Teething is the worst. My daughter had a low fever & diarrhea every time a tooth was about to pop... always about a three day stretch. Honestly we just threw everything out the window and went for keeping her as comfortable (aka on mom’s boob) as possible. Probably not the most ideal method but we all made it through 😉 Hang in there 👍🏻 Just a heads up although I’m sure you’ve googled teething pain but apparently there is nothing you can safely put on her gums without the risk of choking (oragel etc).

I agree with kelsie, tend to sad baby and go back and work on sleep training later 😔 because you can't sleep train them when they aren't even sleeping lol mine also sleeps on my boob for a few nights when teething ☹️

Have you heard of chamomilla 30? They have it at sprouts. It’s for teething pain!

While it is difficult to sleep train while your baby is teething, if you put it on hold for this reason, you’ll be waiting a long time! Teething CAN disrupt sleep but doesn’t need to be the reason you stop teaching baby good sleep habits. Some times, it can help to give a bit of Tylenol before bed, or rock baby to soothe him/her. But you still want to try to have baby fall asleep on their own. Good luck!

Babyganics teething gel is awesome! All organic so it's not like the orajel. My son is currently teething as well. He will go a few days doing good then bam another tooth. It's definitely tough but hang in there! You got this!

We are in the same boat! My son is already sleep trained and has been for about a month now, however, he has been sick all week and just wants to constantly nurse. I’m at his every beck and call but I’m so nervous all the training is going to get thrown out the window. I think it’s best to just of course be there for baby and nurture her. Sleep training can wait until she feels better.
