My son thinks he is the sun

My 20month old hasn't be sleeping good at all. He will fight going to sleep until 10p and then he is back up around 5:30/6am. He naps around 11a-1pm. I dont understand why he is doing this. He is getting teeth but we give him medicine before bed. Any ideas or suggestions?

When my son got his molars he hardly slept and I gave him Motrin before bed every night. That is what I am guessing though thAt it is his teeth bothering him. When they cut through he slept better.

Try some chewable melatonin at bedtime. I had to do that a while. And it was around the time he was getting his molars and other teeth too.

20 mo is around when my son started transitioning away from naps every day. Trying cutting back his nap slowly and see if that helps at night.

Gee I’d love if my baby slept from 10-5:30 or 6 AM consider yourself lucky mama!

If you find a good quality amber necklace, they really do make a difference. I rolled my eyes at it at first until I noticed my daughter was so happy during the day at Nana's and would be really cranky and chewing on everything at my house. Together with Tylenol/Advil, it really helps. Blackout curtains definitely help too!

Soft music, snuggles and a solid daily bedtime routine help with bedtime. I'm still trying to master this one, but routine helps.

What time do you try to put him to bed? If he sleeps too late he will wake up too early. I know that sounds funny but it’s true! I had to sleep train my child with a sleep specialist and I learned that you have to find the right time period between wake and sleep times for the LOs for them to fall asleep quickly and wake up at a decent time
