I had no idea I’d have to deal with this as badly as I currently am...any tips on putting a stop to it? To replacing what’s been lost so far? HELP!!!

Continue to take your prenatal vitamins, it helped me.

I was just thinking about this because now that it’s slowing down for me and growing back (8 mo pp) my baby hairs are CRAZY! Sorry lol no advice.... I just kept my hair pulled back braided or in a pony tail so I didn’t drown my house in hair :(

I never stopped taking my prenatals, and also take biotin — I’m 3 months post partum

My hair dresser said to use biotin shampoo, continue to take prenatal & eat a tablespoon on peanut butter each day.

Interesting, as I’m a hairdresser and I’ve never heard the peanut butter trick!

Me either! I had it bad with my first one & I asked for tips for being prepared the second time around.. not sure if the peanut butter tip works but I’m sure going to try it!

I thought it was just me!!! I never put the two together tho. This just made me realize it did start right after having my daughter. I’ve been losing so much hair, it’s everywhere. It’s embarrassing and has started to concern me. It’s been almost 5 months and I still take my prenatal vitamins.

Biotin and protein. Add a protein shake to your day. Vital Proteins turned a friend into a Chia pet 😂 it's helped me, but less drastically. 4 months pp

Protein. Vitamins will only help if you have a deficiency. Don't use heat on your hair and avoid tight hair styles.

There is no way to stop it because the hair that is falling out is no longer in an active stage.

I've been there...I got so frustrated that I got a pixie cut. It gets particularly annoying when the new hair start to sprout around the 8 month pp mark, and create the most amazing frizz. I vote going short or at least getting a nice trim and hair massage from time to time.

I lost almost half of my hair because I wasn’t taking the right amount of supplements. It was horrible! Once I realized this, I started taking prenatal asap and it stopped. Now I have baby hairs growing back..

It does and will get better, though it may seem like forever. I ended up chopping my hair off (which is handy with a baby anyway- less to grab onto), but by the time it grew back, all was back to normal. It seemed really awful in the moment, but I've practically forgotten about it a few years later. Hang in there.
