Postpartum hormone problem?

So my son is just over 4 months now, but I’m still having a lot of postpartum issues. I’m having hot flashes constantly, my body temperature never stays the same for very long and my hair is falling out a lot. I get dizzy easily and my periods have gotten shorter and my menstrual cycles are way off and I’ve alway had regular cycles. I don’t sleep very well either even if my little one is sleeping. The doctors checked my thyroid and everything is fine, but I’m not sure what to do now. Is this normal?

It can be normal. Because of everything you’re body went through for 9 months it could take a long time to go back to normal I’m still getting back in the grove of things with myself and my little one is 7 almost 8 months old

Yes, is completely normal everything you’re describing. My hair start falling off after the third month, I lost almost 70% of my hair, I even had a bald spot. I was desperate; however, everyone told me that it will grow back and it did!!! It has taken me almost 6 months to grow it back but is coming all back. So don’t worry, I also and still have the hot flashes after the year...I started using CBD oil because I got postpartum depression and it has really helped me. It also helped me to sleep.

Do you exercise regularly? Getting in a solid 30min session of working out (something that makes you break a sweat, like putting baby in the jogger and going for a run) will help regulate a lot of the hormones behind those things. Even if it natural/normal for those things, there is NO reason to suffer. Esp this long! This is too long post-birth for you to feel anything other than happy and 'back to normal.' Suggestion seeing a nutritionist and a mental health expert.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I’m not the only one with these things but I need to try and do something about it

I would look into a postnatal vitamin. It really has helped me. I take Perfect Postnatal by New Chapter found on for the best price.

My hair fell out in huge clumps for months after I gave birth to my son (about 6 if I remember correctly) I also had night sweats for a while. From what I understand it usually takes a few months for your menstrual cycle to regulate post baby. My son is almost 15 months and I just got my period back in October. It’s s been 6 weeks and I still haven’t had the second one.
