Potty training

Anonymous

I’ve been working on potty training my 2 year old for about a month now. She started out great and caught on quickly. Now, she goes all day at daycare with no accidents but at home always wets her pull-up and won’t go potty on the toilet. It’s getting very frustrating. I’ve tried candy rewards and potty parties and she has absolutely no interest. Anyone have any other ideas?

Maybe just have her go naked at home or wear those thick training underwear. They will absorb most messes but feel wet. There’s also pull ups that give the wet feeling, I never tried them.

Also at school it’s possible they have a more rigorous schedule. My daughter is really good at school and they take her whenever she asks or once per hour, whichever comes first.

Ask her teacher how she handles potty training. You can't change the way the school operates but you can change the way you do. If there is consistency across places/people you'll probably see an improvement.
