Pre-Diabetic child?

My daughter just got her blood test results back and the doctor told me she is pre-diabetic. I’m so sad and I cried because I feel like a bad mother. I push myself to make the healthiest foods for her and she does eat vegetables. I don’t know what to do.

    Diabetes has a HUGE genetic component. Sometimes even making all the right choices will only delay the inevitable. Just keep watching her sugar and carb intake. I learned when I had gestational diabetes that things we think of as healthy aren’t always. Bananas are super high in carbs. Grapes and winter squash you need to watch too. Any starches, bread, pasta, rice. Juice is also pretty much pure sugar. Good luck mama!
