Restaurant seat choices for under 1 year old

I have purchased 3 types: 1. Cloth kind that slips over the chair - likely return 2. Booster seat that inflated to elevate child 3. The kind that hangs off the table - I can only imagine it working with a booth that is stable and connected to the wall We eat all types of restaurants, from hole in the wall, to casual family friendly types with booths. What do you recommend? What have you experienced? Just use restaurant provided high chair?

We have the cloth one that slips on a chair...not good. Child is not at table level. So it's only good if you spoon feed, not self feed. Fisher-Price Healthy Care Booster Seat, Blue/Green [Amazon Exclusive] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CSAWIP0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_h1uiCb0YPFDTN We like this booster seat. High chairs at restaurants are dirty and usually have broken buckles. We use them when we need to but I bring the booster seat to the few places we go that don't have any. Also, high chairs don't work at bar height tables because baby is at head banging height. My then two yo used the hook on chair at a few restaurants and he didn't like that his feet dangled...kept swinging them around. Just a personal preference, however.

I use theirs. Too much to remember to tote one along and we often are out and about for a while. If you’re worried about germs just bring a chloroform wipe. We have one similar to poster above for friends/grandparent house.

We just use the high chair they give us. We put the grocery cart cover on it to make it more comfy/sanitary.

We use a portable high chair that Chicco makes. It’s easily snapped into any chair and has its own tray and everything. Super convenient and my little loves it!

We use the one that hooks onto the table and hangs off. It doesn’t work on all tables... the tables need to be between 1-2 inches thick (for the one we have by regalo) and there can’t be anything in the way under the table where the chair hooks on to. We go out to eat a decent amount too and I want to say it works 90% of the time. Can’t use it on glass table tops.. my brother owns a restaurant and he said a customer insisted that it would be ok and cracked their glass top. As far as the warning of not being able to use on tablecloths.. we haven’t really seen an issue with it. My husband is usually the one securing it to the table though and he does it a certain way with the tablecloths. For the single pedestal tables, when our son was young we didn’t see issues with it. Now that he’s almost 2 and I think 27 lbs it does cause a slight issue. But since we usually go out as a family, we just have someone sit opposite of the high chair so the table doesn’t flip (I know I know... not safe). We set a chair underneath him but not so far in that he can place his feet on it (because if they get upset during the meal they can stand up). My son loves it... he’s right up at the table and level with us. It’s easy to clean. It’s not heavy. It’s collapsible. If you bring it to a restaurant and it turns out it doesn’t work for their table, you just fold it and tuck it away and use their high chair. Best thing we ever bought IMO. We got ours for $15 at Walmart but the price has jumped since then.

We’ve been using restaurant high chairs since our baby could sit up by herself.

Summer Infant makes a cheap portable high chair that clips onto a regular adult chair. It also has a tray which we put my sons food on. It’s safe to use as soon as they can sit up on their own. We use it for my son and he loves it. Also we get so many people asking us about it. I purchased it at the BJ’s in Hampton and it was the best money I ever spent on a baby item!
