Second birthday without a party

We decided not to throw a party for our daughter who will be 2 next month, what are some ways to make the day special?

I just checked your location..I used to live in Astoria and I’d say a day at the Bronx Zoo followed by pizza from Arthur Ave sounds like a GREAT way to make the day special!!!!

We did the same thing. I’d have a fun family day. Zoo, queens science or kids museum, picnic in the park, etc

Don’t forget that she can make visit Build-A-Bear for the birthday bear. Hers would be $2. Honestly, not the cutest bear they have, but it’s just a cute activity to make her feel special.

We're doing Build-a-Bear and zoo for 2nd birthday. Probably won't do another party until 5.

Our daughter loves singing Happy Birthday and having cake with candles, so that would be enough to make a day special.

We decorate our son's door, make him a special bfast, give him his gift, and read him his special birthday story (dr suess birthday book or whatever its called). We usually go out for lunch or dinner and do something fun for the day like go to the childrens museum or some other fun place that we dont normally go to. We finish off the day with a bowl of ice cream and some family time. (We normally try to stay away from sweets, so once cream is a special treat).
