September birthday and age cut off

My daughter's birthday is September 4. She's about to turn 1, and I know this is really early to start looking into pre school and kindergarten. But I just read the cut off for kindergarten is September 1. So do I enroll her at age 6 for kindergarten? I know these schools fill up fast, so I'm trying to gauge when I should start enrolling her to be be on a wait list. Ugh, school admissions are stressing me out and I haven't even started. Thanks

Some districts allow children within a certain time frame after the dead line in. I would contact the school principal or go to the superintendent

My friend sent me this to attend next month. It has all the information you would need and can answer all the questions you have. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/preschool-preview-night-2019-tables-tickets-6XXX-XXXX

Start looking when she’s about 2 1/2, and get her around some other kids so she can be comfortable when she gets to a real school. But definitely start calling different schools at age 4 to know the requirements. Also, my bday is the same day, so tell the pretty princess Happy Birthday🥳

My daughter's birthday is September 2nd. They allowed her to start kindergarten and I was so excited. She was always a little behind the older kids in class. She was finally held back in 6th grade. Now with kids her age and same maturity level, she never struggled in school again. I learned the hard way that the age cut off is for a good reason. Good luck!

It all depends on the child though^. I know plenty of kids who in school missed the age cut off and weren't in my classes but easily could have been, if not higher up. You have to look at your childs readiness.

Thanks guys. I was hoping that since she was so close to the deadline that there was a chance they might let her in at 5. I know I have a few years to go, but this really helps, thank you
