Sitting in backseat w/ LO

Anonymous

At what age was your little one when you stopped sitting in the backseat with them? My son is 7 months and I still sit in the backseat with him, I don’t mind but I would like to be in the front enjoying the outside view and holding my husbands hand. It’s the little things I miss...

I stopped sitting in the back at about 2.5/3 months, we got a little mirror to put on the back of the seat so we could still see her and she could see us. And my husband has long enough arms so that he can reach back and put the paci back in her mouth if she pops it out. It’s all about what you prefer!!

1 month or less maybe? We still sit in the back with him for long car rides though. Other than that he never really cared if we were there or not because he would just look out the window himself.

I never sat in the back except for long rides. No need.

I only sit in the back if I want to make sure she stays awake or it is a super long ride. I never sat back there with her unless that was the case.

My LO is 16 mos and I still sit in the back with him. He doesn’t like his car seat much so I have to stay back there to entertain him, give him snacks, milk, toys, etc. I also miss sitting in the front too..

The only time we are in the backseat is if we’re giving her a bottle other than that we have a mirror.

I never sat in the backseat except for a couple of times when my daughter was completely inconsolable and I was trying to calm her down. She hated the car seat for the first 3 months, but now at 11 months she entertains herself and likes the car.

Only sat in the backseat for maybe the first two weeks. Thankfully our little girl sleeps through car rides!

Two weeks. When I saw that he was falling asleep as soon as the wheels started turning, I took advantage of the time adulting with my husband lol

I sat in the back maybe a handful of times when my daughter was getting used to her car seat and then bought a mirror that I could see from my rear view. I had to do errands on my own with her
