Sleep sacks

Anonymous

My daughter is 13 months old and still sleeps in a sleep sack. She likes and it gives me peace of mind, however, the old school moms in my life think it’s crazy I don’t just use a blanket. What’s a good age to switch?

Whenever you feel comfortable! You know your little one best, mama 💗💗💗

We used a sleep sack for a long time and didn’t use a blanket until after 2! Honestly he didn’t like a blanket for a long time... the sleep sack let him move around and get comfy, and the blanket confused him.

I’m lucky my son doesn’t move around a lot when he sleeps so I felt comfortable giving him a blanket really early. That being said I use crocheted blankets that my mom made instead of a normal blanket. The crocheted stitch allows for decent sized holes so if he pulled it over his head he’d still be ok. He’s almost two and I just now started giving him solid blankets

But ultimately it’s your decision. You’re the one that has to be able to sleep overnight without worrying

#1 Those old school mom should mind their own business. #2 if your LO likes the sleep sack keep using it. The Halo brand have walking sleep sacks. Check them out. Just bought one for my friend’s 15 mo old.

Mine is 21 months old and we use a sleep sac. She turns all around in her crib at night and the blanket was making her sleep worse. Plus, this way she can’t climb out.

Christy, it’s like a sleeping bag with arm holes. Google for a photo
