Sleeping through the night

J

My LO just turned 7 months old and usually gets up once per night to feed. She will however toss and turn (she’s teething) so we’ll give her back the pacifier if she didn’t find it and sometime we have to hold her for a few minutes just to comfort and she’ll go back to bed. Some nights she will sleep from 8-6 without waking up for a bottle. What’s the best way of keeping it like that? More nights than not she’ll wake for a feed.

Have you tried any cry it out methods? If she’s getting the needed calories during the day she shouldn’t need a night feed. My LO (8 months) still wakes up during the night sometimes and cries but she falls back asleep on her own. I only go in if she cries longer than 10 min and that helped her learn self soothing. Hope that helps

How much formula/breast milk do you give? She has 4- 6oz bottles during the day and 1 during the night. Maybe I should up her intake during the day?

It fluctuates a bit but we usually give between 28 and 32 ounces a day plus 2 solids meals. If it’s a day with less I try to give her an extra bottle before bed so she’s good and full

Let’s say I up her bottle ounces during the day but still wakes during the night should I give her a bottle? If so, should I start to water it down or give less and less so she realizes she doesn’t need it? I’d just hate to up her bottles so she’s getting 30 ounces during day and still wake up and get a 6-7 ounce bottle.. I don’t want a chunker!!

If she’s getting enough during the still wakes up I would try waiting 5,10 or 15 minutes (whatever you are comfortable with) before going in so you can see if she can fall back asleep without the bottle. If she can’t get back to sleep then I’d give her gradually less each night for a while to wean her off of it more gently (I would just give less instead of watering it down)

My daughter is same! I tired Ferber method but it’s not working on her. She wakes up around 1:30am and doesn’t sleep on her own. I usually go in her room after half n hour, pat her but she won’t sleep. As soon I’ll stop patting she will wake up. I don’t know what to do. It’s been two weeks I am trying to train her. What I should do so she can sleep all night?

So my daughter was getting 4 6oz bottles during the day and 1 6oz bottle during the night. We went to 7oz bottles during the day (she was/is) getting 2oz less however the last week she has been sleeping through the night. She has gotten up one or two times a night just to be rolled onto her back (she can only roll to her tummy) and she’ll fall right back asleep
