Teething or something else?

My son is 10 months old and usually a decent sleeper and really chill and happy. For about the past 2-3 nights hes been waking multiple times a night, very hard to get back to sleep, doesn't seem to sleep for more than an hour or two at a time, and takes really short naps. Hes had a low grade fever (highest so far has been 100.6) off and on for the last day or so. Hes extremely irritable when he's awake and he doesnt seem too keen on his bottle but does alright with table food. I've been thinking teething but so far I see no signs of any new teeth coming through and me and my husband are both exhausted. We also have a 2 year old who needs our attention during the day so it's really wearing us out. I'm starting to wonder if its possibly something more than just teething and if we should call the dr or maybe even visit prompt care. My poor baby is SOOO tired, but cant stay comfortable long enough to sleep well. Even with motrin or tylenol in his system. And all the things that normally comfort him and calm him arent working as well either. Only other guess I have is an ear infection but I just dont feel like that's it. Hes had one before and didnt act like this. This is completely out of character for him. Any ideas??

Definitely sounds like teething! My son will usually do this no sleeping for 4-7 days and then be fine then a week or two later his teeth pop through! Stay strong!

Sounds like the 10 month sleep regression. My daughter went through it too for a few weeks.

Our 9 month old has been going through almost the same situation. He had an ear infection in the past and we weren’t sure if his new actions were another ear infection. We knew he was starting to have bumps again for his top teeth but when we took him in to see his pediatrician, she told us he was having almost all his top teeth coming in at the same time and he was just miserable from that. We only was a couple bumps. It could be something related to teething you can’t see. Never hurts to go into the dr though.
