Teething & waking up early?

So my LO is 15 months. He is a GREAT sleeper...on the regular he sleeps from 9:30p-9:30a. However...he’s teething right now with molars. Chewing on hands, drool everywhere & soaking bibs...& he’s been waking up early (between 4a-6a) for the past week. I give him Motrin before bed & seems to give relief for a bit. When he wakes up he won’t lay back in crib...I will let him sleep on me in the rocking chair in his room. I’m curious if I should try an organic teething tablet when he gets up early...maybe he will lay back down? Or is this just a phase we will have to wait out until he gets all of his “little toofers”? I understand he gets a lot more sleep than some babies...but still...I feel like a zombie at times!

Ive had the same problems with my little one. If he wakes early i give him a little milk and ibuprofen. I tend to snuggle for 20/30 mins in the chair while it kicks in most of the time he goes back to sleep. He normally sleeps 7/7.30-6.30/7 and when he wakes it can be anywhere between 1-6. If hes up close to normal time i just get him up. Sounds like he is waking once the Motrin has worn off which is whats happened with my little one. Ive never used anything other than tylenol and ibuprofen.

I'd suggest giving him more motrin or tylenol when he wakes to see if that helps. When my LO is teething badly, she wakes up during the night, and if it's been the appropriate amount of time, I'll give her more to help with the pain. She usually will go back to sleep but sometimes it takes a bit because she wants me to stay with her. I'd say the longest it has taken was an hour.

Why not give more Motrin? It only lasts 6-8 hours

I guess I just never understand why the “natural” remedies are better. They’re not regulated, and vary in quality. Motrin works for me. I’m glad others found things that work for them.

I kind of figured that it was because of the Motrin wearing off. He does pretty well during the day pain wise...I’m really just trying to give it to him at night since we are giving it to him consecutive days. Also....each child is different & I won’t mom shame. Either natural remedies, or medicine ...I was just wondering if others are dealing with this too. Maybe on the days I work I will try giving him more Motrin when he wakes early & try getting him back to bed. I’ve read mixed reviews on the Hylands tablets...so I’m still kind of on the fence. Thank you for comments though!! ✌🏻❤️😊
