Do your toddlers hold grudges? My 15-month old gets upset when I put her down for naps in the late afternoon. It makes me feel bad and I can’t help but think that she’s upset with me or will hold a grudge when she wakes up...is that a thing? How long could she be mad at me? Thanks for your insight!

She might be ready to transition to 1 nap a day.

I don’t think they hold grudges at this age. Like Angela said, she might just be upset because she is ready for just one nap.

Not a thing. But agree with she sounds ready for one nap a day

My daughter gets upset with me every time she has to sleep...no grudges so far:). I do think it might be time to go to one nap a day. For my daughter, it started around 11 months and she would randomly just not sleep in the afternoon (for her, the second nap happened most often on the commute home from work/school). Eventually her morning nap was naturally pushed to after lunch and she consistently stopped with the afternoon naps. Good luck!

I will say I won’t be surprised if my daughter turns out to be the grudge holding type. She has an impressive memory and will bring things up that really surprises me. I have a cousin named Jason who I told to stop feeding her cookies at a st Patrick’s celebration back in March. Every time she hears the name Jason she gets upset and says, “Jason said ‘no more cookies mommy!’” Lolol. Poor guy. My daughter will be 2 later this month.

Wow, haha! Sounds a bit like my 15-month old too! Her memory surprises me.
