Toddler sleep regression after new baby
We have a 2.5 year old, and recently had a new baby. We were told that toddlers have an adjustment period to new babies, so we expected some behavioral difficulties. What we didn't expect was a sleep regression. Our toddler wakes up 1-2 times a night, every night. It's been going on for about 2 months now (since right before the baby was born). He used to be a pretty solid sleeper, but now wakes up crying for us. This is *in addition* to the baby waking up throughout the night. I don't think the issue is the baby waking him up, because it's at random times of the night. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions? We were thinking about pulling out our old sleep training methods from when he was an infant, but not sure those are appropriate for a toddler.
