Transitioning to sippy cup.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to know how you transitioned your 8 month old to a sippy cup? Right now I’m trying the munchkin gentle transition sippy cup, but my little guy hates the texture. Help!

You could try a straw cup, or a munchkin 360, but at 8 months it's something new, and they might not figure it out for a month or two, you just have to keep trying. Mine is 8 months and mainly just chews on his, but he will figure it out.

We went straight to a take and toss straw cup. It’s surprisingly airtight so you can squeeze the cup to help the liquid go up the straw. They’ll cause a huge mess if you let them hold it and fall in the floor because the top will pop off but it’s great for training to drink from a straw while supervised. You can swap the plastic straw for a silicone one if your child is a biter/chewer.

My girl has always refused a bottle so she was breastfeed until 9 months, but then I tried the 360 munchkin and she caught on super quick! It make take a few tries but I would go straight to the 360.

I just gave him no other option than his 360 cup. He does get a bottle for his PM feeding bit that's all. He was given his 360 cup at 6 months.
