Washing cloth diapers?

Hello everyone! We’re giving a serious go at cloth diapering. I’m having a couple hiccups with the washing technique. Can any pros advise? We have bum genius and this is what washer settings I have available. THANK YOU!

Lol you have the exact same washer/ dryer combo I do!! I wash my cloth diapers on white setting with cold water no soap, then white hot water with gain and borax. Then tumble dry low with no dryer sheet

Not sure if you’ve heard of the group Fluff Love and Cloth Diaper Science on Facebook, but they’re super helpful with troubleshooting and getting a good wash routine down. I’ve learned so much from the group and even how to do my actual laundry better! Lol Here’s a link from their website, to their washer machine index where you can find a wash routine for this machine :) just in case you didn’t care to join a group, the website has all the info you need! http://www.fluffloveuniversity.com/how-to-wash-cloth-diapers/washing-machine-index/ Basic rules for washing cloth diapers: bulk the load (no matter what size, so there’s not too much water and the clothes agitate), use a good detergent for the type of water hardness you have, and avoid fabric softeners (unless they’re plant based).

I am not sure what type of diapers that is, but here is what I do with prefolds and fitteds: one cold wash, then one hot wash with country save and an extra rinse cycle. Then I dry them like normal. I wash the covers with my son’s other clothes.
