What is the best way to breastfeed as well as pump to create a supply of breastmilk for a nanny?

I always pump in the morning and before I go to bed. It helped me build up a good supply for when I returned to work.

I have built up a supply for my baby by nursing/pumping every 3 hours even at night. She misses one night feeding so I always pump that and stash it.

My son is 8 weeks and at 5 weeks the doctor recommended we start giving him one bottle a day so he wouldn’t reject it. So now, my husband feeds him his nightly 4oz bottle before bed (which almost immediately helped him sleep longer at night). So since I’m “skipping” that feeding, I pump then. The baby wakes up one time (between 3-4am) so I’ll BF him then and go back to sleep. He’ll wake up between 6-7am and I’ll BF him from one side then pump. Between the night and morning pumps, I’ll get a good 6-8 oz. I also just started attaching the Haakaa silicone bottle to the side I am not feeding on so by the end of each day I have collected 3-4 oz of letdown. I also take Fenugreek supplements to up my supply. So by doing all of that, I get 2-3 bottles to freeze every day.

I pumped in the morning after the first nursing and love the hakaa!

Do you worry with the haaka that you aren’t getting the fattier hind milk?

I preferred collecting milk in a haaka vs soaking in my bra ;)
